• 1946: Born San Diego, California. Father in U.S. Navy. Trumpet lessons starting 3rd grade. Lived on the East Coast through 4th grade. Washington D.C, Florida.
  • 1954: Family moved to Sacramento, CA. First guitar age 15, Fender Stratocaster age 16.
  • 1963: Played first professional gigs, including opening for Beach Boys.
  • 1965: Band evolved to R&B band backup band.
  • Opened shows and/or backed up: Ike and Tina Turner, Sonny and Cher, The Olympics, The Coasters, Dick & Dee Dee, Ray Peterson, The Righteous Brothers.
  • Graduated high school class 1964.
  • 1965-1968: Studied trumpet with Noel Smeltzer @ Sacramento State. Studied guitar with Lee Havens in Sacramento. Gigged up & down the West Coast. Doubled on guitar and trumpet. Worked in Las Vegas for 6 months in Lounge at Desert Inn.
  • 1969:  Moved to Los Angeles. Enrolled in L.A. City College, studied music theory. Studied classical guitar. Played in Bob McDonald's big band. Wrote/transcribed lead sheets for Bones Howe, Mark Gorden recording sessions. Guitarist on recording sessions for arranger Don Costa. Gigs in Las Vegas with Steve and Eydie, Connie Stevens, Theresa Graves, Patti Page.
  • 1970: Traveled extensivly with Buddy Rich big band throughout the U.S. and Europe.
  • 1971:  Worked with Holiday on Ice show. Met future ex-wife.
  • 1972:  Moved to Toronto Ontario, Canada. Have 2 sons Jesse and Miles.
  • 1977:  Returned to California. San Diego.
  • 1978:  Moved to Bay Area. San Francisco, Marin County
  • 1980:  Returned to college, Studied Electronics Technology, Computer programming on UNIX system. First personal computer, Apple IIe.
  • 1981-1986: Worked for IBM distributer as customer engineer San Rafael, CA.
    The Business used first IBM PC's.  Played guitar with Chuck Day Band for five years "19 Broadway", Fairfax, CA.
  • 1987-1989: Contract programmer for Wells Fargo Bank.
  • 1990: Graduated college with degree in Computer Informations Systems.
    Played music for six years at "Rafa's Mexican Restaurant" in Cotati, CA. 1990 - 96.
    (Rafa's restaruant is now called Cafe Salsa).
  • 1998-2000: JBASS & Associates Rohnert Park, CA. MCSE Certification, Teaching certificate, State of California. Tutored students for Microsoft Certification, in C and Visual Basic programming languages.
